Canberra Quilters Exhibition - raffle results

At 4.00 pm Sunday we drew our Exhibition raffle.
We don't nominate first, second and third prizes, but allow the first-drawn ticket buyer to choose their prize. The second drawn ticket-buyer chooses between the remaining prizes and the third-drawn ticket buyer get the remaining prize.

Canberra Quilters 2013 Raffle tickets available now

This is the raffle quilt for 2013, Pantone Premonition. It was made by Barbara Cutmore and Raylee Bielenberg. It was quilted by Raylee Bielenberg of Sunflower Quilting. It is based on the Robbing Peter to Pay Paul block and using white and variations of the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2013 - Emerald Green. The quilt is 251cm square.

The winner of the Canberra Quilters Inc Members Exhibition raffle gets to choose from three prizes:
The quilt "Pantone Premonition" valued at $2700, or
a Bernina 700D overlocker, valued at $699, kindly donated by Bernina Australia, or
a Kingfisher 65"x 65" Design Wall valued at $240, kindly donated by Jackie McNab of Brindabella Quilting.
The remaining prizes will go to the second and third drawn tickets.
The raffle will be drawn at 4.00pm on Sunday 11 August 2013 at the close of the Canberra Quilters Inc Members’ Exhibition.

This year (until 1 August and within Australia only) you can buy books of 10 tickets by post for $10 each, paid by cheque or money order made out to Canberra Quilters Inc – NO CASH PLEASE!

Raffle drawn - results

The Exhibition Raffle was drawn at 4.00pm on Sunday. Winning ticket-holders get to choose which prize they wish to take.
First-drawn ticket, 00381 (Sue Bourke), chose the Bernina Overlocker Model 700D.
Second-drawn ticket, 03286 (Fiona Hammond), chose the Kingfisher Design Wall from Brindabella Quilting Systems.
The third-drawn ticket, 04574 (Christine Bell, received the quilt 'Batik Rhapsody', made by Janet Cruise and Elizabeth Rose, quilted by Jenny Bowker.

Canberra Quilters Inc Raffle 2012 - tickets available soon

This is the raffle quilt for 2012, "Batik Rhapsody". The quilt is a log cabin design in batik fabrics in shades of blue, with hints of purple and some black. It was designed by member Elizabeth Rose and made by Elizabeth and Janet Cruise. The exquisite free-motion quilting was done by member Jenny Bowker. The quilting incorporates individual motifs, interspersed with sweeping feathers. All sewing was done on domestic sewing machines. The quilt is 236cm square and will fit a queen-size bed.

Raffle Winners 2011

Yesterday at 4pm the Canberra Quilters' Raffle was drawn. Winning ticket holders get to choose their prize from the prize list. 
The first drawn ticket was 04414 - Jane Tasker of Cowra. Jane chose the Bernina B330 sewing machine as her prize.
The second drawn ticket was 1416 - Pam Alexander of Tuross Head. Pam chose the quilt by Kath Hunt as her prize.
The third drawn ticket was 1989 - Maryann Davis of Ulladulla. Maryann received the remiaing prize of a Tru Blu Quilting Frame from Brindabella Quilting Systems.
