Evening Meeting: Thursday 3 July

The next evening meeting is Thursday, 3 July 2008 at the Weston Creek Uniting Church Hall, Parkinson St, Weston Creek (7.15pm for a 7.45pm start). There will be a presentation by the Krazy Kwilters. Come and take a look at the work of this group dedicated to the crazy patchwork genre.

By the way, a wiki on crazy quilting is under development. It is framed as series of fully illustrated lessons in a PDF file. This excellent resource is free and open to anyone.

Congratulations to Sydney Quilt Show Prize Winners

Congratulations to the following CQ members on their success at the Sydney Quilt Show 2008:
  • Jenny Bowker - Contemporary Art Quilt Award, first prize Pictorial Quilt and second prize, Art Quilt;
  • Dianne Firth - third prize, Small or Wall Quilt (Professional) and fourth prize Art Quilt;
  • Kerrilyn Gavin - third place, Predominantly Applique (Professional);
  • Helen Godden - Judges' commendation Art Quilt and Pictorial Quilt; and
  • Beth Miller - Judges' commendation, Small or Wall Quilt (Professional).

Evening Meeting: Thursday 5 June
